Ways to spend the weekend

As can be seen from the chart, senior three students have different ways to spend their weekends. Going back home and having a good rest is what most students would like to do, while 25% students choose to study at school during weekends. The least studnts , accounting for 15% , take outdoor activities to spend their weekends.

Various reasons are responsible for their different choices. Those （who choose to go back home） believe that a good rest does help them relax and work more efficiently during the school time. Outdoor-activity lovers hold the opinoin that taking exercise is a wonderful way to refresh themselves. However, a small number of students living far away from home tend to stay at school to save every minute to study.

From my point of view, despite the heavy study pressure, senior three year doesn’t necessarily mean studying all the time. Sometimes a good rest and proper exercise can be of vital importance.

It can be seen easily from the above chart that American students 72 minutes on physical activities per day, and those in South Korea 42 minutes. However, Chinese students have only 12 minutes for physical activities per day.

The reasons lie in the following. Almost all the time is spent on lessons in Chinese schools and students are made by parents to concentrate on their study even when they get back homes. Thus there is little time left for their physical activities.

In the picture, caught speeding by a policeman, a drunk driver doesn’t think he has drunk too much even though he can’t walk normally, which is a kind of common phenomenon among some drivers in our country.

The lack of safety awareness is the direct reason why there exists so much drunk driving, because some people believe that drinking a little does no harm to their driving. However, if traffic accidents happen, it will be too late for them to regret what they have done.
