predetermined first set value and in which the controllable switch is opened when theoutput voltage exceeds a second set value in which an exponentially variable second setvalue is used in order to obtain at least approximately constant \"on\" or \"off\" time of theswitch, to thereby keep the switching frequency constant regardless of changes of theinput voltage, the load and the ambient temperature.
