Should We Put a Limit on Private Cars?

Traffic congestions are a headache in many cities across the country as a result of rapid increase of private cars. Therefore, some people suggest that a limit be put on the number of private cars. Do you agree or disagree with such a proposal? Typically understood as it is in our sense,traffic system,which most of citizens recognize as the most significant label for modern city,provide not just a convenient living surroundings,but a harmonious human society,which apparently cannot be accomplished just by a mandatory requirement that infringes the right to purchase private cars.Then,in contrast to such an idea that to solve traffic congestions we must put a limit on private cars,my stand is definitively opposite.We should not put a limit on private cars,and as follows,I will clarify it in concrete explanation and persuasive examples.

First of all,the primary priority of my concerns to oppose the limit of private cars is that the traffic tools in nature is ensuring people to reach everywhere freely.That is to say,the use of private cars is in order to live more conveniently and so as the formation of traffic system.Whereas people are inclined to believe the traffic congestions is the result of rapid increase of private cars,traffic congestions still could be solved by other solutions. Facts bring us truth,not because of its eloquence,but that it really happened ever.Here is one of my personal experience just justifies the position I stand.

Secondly,private cars,as an crucial production of cars industry,has special meanings for manufacturer and market-dominate economy.Apparently this distinctive characteristic of private cars demonstrates that the increase of private cars has a potential influence in economy and can be an indicator for the economic development,thus,the purchase of private cars should not be artificially suppressed.If we put a limit on private cars,it is believed that subsequent influence will be unpredictable and abominable.

Furthermore,traffic congestions is not just a result of the huge numbers of private cars,but a consequence of undeveloped public transit system.It is generally accepted that numbers are the way we can make ourselves nearest to the truth.There is a survey conducted by the Peking university,one of the top universities in China,which asks 2000 specimens in Beijing to respond what causes the traffic congestion:the number of private cars,the undeveloped public system,the city structure,or the weather.As what we estimate,half of them choose the undeveloped public system to be the answer.

Admittedly,I have any intention to deny the necessity of remitting traffic congestions.After all,the situation of traffic in a city directly effects the comfort index people felt,which should be putted in considerations definitely.But just as it is approved above,It is not private cars but the undeveloped public transit system that plays the role as a protagonist in traffic congestions.Governments had better perfect the public transit system for the realization of such purpose that making citizens’ common life more convenient.If this is well done,then city life,the whole society,happier.
