For establish the use and maintenace on pH Meter PB-10 procedure, to ensure the accuracy of measurement data.
2.0 Scope:范围
2.1 适用于原料、辅料、中间产品、成品、水质以及缓冲溶液的pH值测定。
Apply to determine the pH value of raw materials, auxiliary materials, intermediate products
and finished products, water quality and buffer solution.

4.0 Definitions: 定义
4.1 pH值:pH值是衡量一种溶液酸度或碱度的尺度,用下面的公式表示:
pH=-log[H+]
[H+]表示溶液中氢离子的浓度,pH值有时也被称为“氢离子指数”。
pH: pH is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of a solution and can be represented by this equation:
pH=-log[H+]
with [H+] representing the concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution. pH is sometimes referred to as the power of the hydrogen ion in a solution.
5.0 Procedure:规程 5.1 准备
Preparation
5.1.1将变压器插头与pH计Power(电源)接口相连,并接好交流电。 Connection power cable to meter power jack and to AC power source.
5.1.2 将pH复合玻璃电极与BNC(电极)和ATC(温度探头)输入孔连接。
Connect a glass pH electrode to the input and ATC connectors.
5.1.3 按Mode键设置pH模式(pH,mV或相对mV)。
Press Mode until the display indicates the appropriate measurement mode (pH or mV/relative mV ).
5.2 校正
Standardization
5.2.1按SETUP键,显示屏显示Clear,按Enter键确认,清除之前的校准数据,并选择您所需要的缓冲液组。
Press Setup and the meter displays a flashing Clear icon. Press Enter to clear all existing
buffers and to select a new set of buffers.
5.2.2 将复合电极用蒸馏水清洗,滤纸吸干后浸入第一种缓冲液(6.86),充分搅拌,按Standardize键, pH计识别出缓冲液并将闪烁显示缓冲液值。达到稳定状态后,或通过按Enter键,测量值即已被保存;pH计显示电极斜率为100%。
Rinse electrodes with distilled water and blot-dry, place electrodes in the first buffer solution (6.86), stir. Press Standardize, the meter recognizes the buffer and flashes a buffer icon. When the signal is stable, or when you press Enter, the buffer is entered. The meter displays the %slope of the electrode as 100%.
5.2.4将复合电极用蒸馏水清洗,滤纸吸干后浸入第二种缓冲液(4.01),充分搅拌,按Standardize键,pH计识别出缓冲液并将闪烁显示缓冲液值。示值达到稳定状态后,或通过按Enter键,测量值作为第二校准点被储存。pH计显示电极的斜率,其值在90~105%范围内。如果与理论值有更大的偏差,将显示错误信息(Err),电极应清洗,更换标定缓冲溶液,并按上述步骤重新校正。
Rinse electrodes with distilled water and blot-dry, place electrodes in the first buffer solution (4.01), stir. Press Standardize, the meter recognizes the buffer and flashes a buffer icon. When the signal is stable, or when you press Enter, the buffer is entered as the second standardize. The meter displays the %slope of the electrode. The electrode response must be between 90 and 105% slope. The meter will display error when the electrode is less or more than the correct response. You should rinse the electrode and replace the buffer solutions, then according the above steps to standardize.
5.2.5 重复以上操作,完成第三点(9.18)校准。
Repeat the above operation,complete the standardize of the third buffer solution (9.18). 5.3 测量
Measure
5.3.1用蒸馏水清洗电极,滤纸吸干后浸入待测溶液,等到数值达到稳定,出现“S”时,即可读取测量值。
Rinse the electrode with the distilled warter and blot-dry, place the electrode in the
measured solution. When the signal is stable and the meter displays “S”, you can read the measured value.
5.3.2 测量完毕后,用蒸馏水清洗电极并用滤纸吸干,套上电极保护套。
After the measurement, rinse the electride with the distilled water and blot-dry, sheathe the electrode in the protective end cover.
5.3.3 使用频繁时,电极用饱和KCl溶液浸泡,使电极玻璃球保持湿润。 When used frequently, store the glass electrodes in the saturated KCl solution, keep it wet. 5.4 维护与保养
Maintenace
5.4.1 在各次测量之间要清洗电极,吸干电极表面溶液(不要擦拭电极),用蒸馏水或待测溶液进行冲洗。
Rinse and blot-dry electrodes between each measurement (don't wipe). Rinse electrodes with distilled warter, or part of the next solution to be measured. 5.4.2 测量时,电极的引入导线应保持静止,否则会引起测量不稳定。
During the measuring, keep the inlead of electrodes still, or will cause the
measurement is not stable.
5.4.3测量完成后,不用拔下变压器,应待机或关闭总电源,以保护仪器。
After the measurement, don’t pull out the transfomer, should be standby or close the power to protect the instrument.
5.4.4 如发现电极有问题,可用0.1M HCl溶液浸泡电极半小时再放入饱和 KCl溶液中保存。
If the electrodes have a problem, it can be soaked in 0.1M HCl solution half an hour and then store in the saturated KCl solution.
